Hello friends and family! Thank you for taking the time to check out our blog!

As many of you know, we're a family of four living on a 41-foot sailboat. Last year, we left our traditional jobs, rented out our house, and headed south. The kids are ages 7 and 4, and the pup splits time between the boat and the retirement village. We've sailed more than 1,500 nautical miles so far, from the upper Chesapeake Bay to the Bahamas, and we're close to turning the corner and heading back north. We've had many wonderful adventures, and we thought this would be a good time to reflect on our journey and share some of our sea stories.

If you follow us on Instagram, you've seen lots of pretty pictures. But boat life isn't all sunshine and rainbows; and here on the blog, we'll go behind the scenes and share what boat life is really like.

Of course, we've had our fair share of sunshine and rainbows (quite literally), and we'll also share some of our favorite stories.
